What stays on your device, what may leave it, and why
Last updated:
Summary
TheCashCount is designed so that Cash Count Data stays on the current device. You can count cash, reconcile a drawer, export CSV, and prepare a printable report without creating an account or sending monetary values to us.
Cash Count Data
Cash Count Data means denomination quantities, calculated subtotals and totals, Expected Cash, and the resulting Balance Difference.
This data is calculated in your browser and may be saved as a Local Cash Session in browser storage. The calculator does not automatically include it in page requests, analytics, advertising calls, contact messages, or application logs. CSV and printable reports are generated on the device.
You can reset one Cash Count or clear all saved counts from the calculator. Clearing browser storage can also remove Local Cash Sessions.
Contact information
The Contact page opens your email application with
hello@thecashcount.com as the destination. The website and Cloudflare Worker
do not receive your name, email address, or message. If you choose to send,
your email provider and the receiving mailbox process the message and may
retain it for support, security, or correction follow-up.
Do not include Cash Count Data or other sensitive financial information in an email.
Analytics and consent
The initial public release does not load optional analytics. If privacy-safe analytics are introduced later, they will be documented here, limited to an allowlisted event schema, and kept separate from Cash Count Data. Consent will be requested before optional analytics where required.
Refusing optional consent will not disable the calculator.
Advertising
TheCashCount launches without visible ads and without advertising scripts. Applying for or receiving approval from an advertising provider does not by itself turn ads on. Any later advertising must be documented here and placed behind the required consent controls before it is enabled.
Request and security logs
The hosting provider may process ordinary request metadata such as IP address, browser user agent, requested path, response status, and time for delivery, abuse prevention, and security. Calculator quantities and totals are not part of those requests.
Device-local preferences
The site may store a language choice, theme preference, and Local Cash Sessions on the device. Language routing may also use a first-party preference cookie. These preferences are not advertising profiles.
Service providers
The site uses Cloudflare Workers for hosting and request delivery. Your email application and email provider are separate from the website and operate under their own privacy and security terms.
Security and changes
Reasonable technical and organizational safeguards are used, but no internet service can promise absolute security. This policy will be updated before a materially different data practice is enabled. The date above records the most recent policy update.
Privacy questions and corrections
For a privacy question, use the Contact page or email hello@thecashcount.com. To report an error in this policy, email corrections@thecashcount.com.
