Scope

These terms govern use of TheCashCount, a free Cash Operations Toolkit created and maintained by Andy Chung. By using the site, you agree to use it lawfully and to take responsibility for the quantities and Expected Cash values you enter.

What the calculator does

The calculator performs arithmetic on the values you enter. A Cash Drawer Reconciliation subtracts Expected Cash from the calculated Cash Count and labels the result Balanced, Over, or Short.

TheCashCount does not:

• detect counterfeit, altered, damaged, or stolen currency;
• verify a till, transaction record, deposit, or accounting ledger;
• certify that a Cash Count is complete or correct;
• replace a point-of-sale or accounting system; or
• determine whether an employee caused, concealed, or is responsible for a Balance Difference.

Not professional advice

The site is not accounting, banking, legal, tax, fraud-investigation, security, or employee-performance advice. A displayed result is a calculation, not a professional conclusion. Follow the procedures and escalation rules that apply to your organization and jurisdiction.

Accuracy and source dates

You are responsible for checking entered quantities, the selected currency, enabled Legacy Denominations, Expected Cash, and any exported or printed report. Currency information is reviewed against the official sources and dates shown on the relevant page, but denominations and legal-tender rules can change.

If a result affects a deposit, financial record, investigation, or employment decision, verify it independently before acting.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• use the site in violation of applicable law;
• interfere with the site or another person's use of it;
• attempt unauthorized access to systems or data; or
• use the service to distribute malware or abusive traffic.

Availability and warranties

The service is provided "as is" and "as available." To the extent permitted by law, no warranty is made that the site, source data, or output will always be available, current, complete, or error-free.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, Andy Chung and TheCashCount are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive loss arising from use of, or inability to use, the site. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded.

Content, links, and intellectual property

The site may link to central banks, mints, monetary authorities, and other external sources. Those sites control their own content and availability. TheCashCount's original product code, visual identity, and written content are protected by applicable intellectual-property law unless a separate license states otherwise.

Changes

These terms may be updated as the product or legal requirements change. The date above records the latest revision. Continued use after a revision means the current terms apply to that use.
